Mekon's Eclipse software packages are well known as leaders in the Aerospace and Defense market. They're used to create the kind of highly controlled structured documentation demanded in this arena.
We're proud to announce that in another arena demanding control and precision, Julian Murfitt, Mekon's Managing Director, has won this year's British Aerobatic Championships Advanced Level champion title.
The Advanced level competition comprised of 12 pilots flying 3 individual competition flights. The first one is a Free program designed by the individual pilots followed by 2 unkown sequences which are design during the competition. This means the combination of figures to be flown by the pilot is completely new and the only rehearsal they can do is mental preparation and a walk through on the ground, similar to show jumping.
Competition this year was fierce with the top 3 pilots battling it out to the last flight.
Julian Murfitt was victorious landing this years advanced level champion title. This is a great result following his recent win at Shobdon and placing 13th in the European championships held in Finland early this year. His win secures Julian’s place on the British Team who hopes to be competing in the world championships next year in the USA. (all sponsorship offers are welcome)
